On a unusually beautiful day for July, Ruth and David got married on at The Hyatt at The Bellevue. Every detail was impeccable which made for an entirely gorgeous day, and reminds me why I love my job so much. The wedding was coordinated by Mark and his team from Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants.
We started the day with some getting ready pictures in a suite at The Bellevue. I had heard about the blush pink Monique Lhuillier dress Ruth would be wearing, so I was dying to see it. It did not disappoint! I was absolutely obsessed with Ruth’s gorgeous bouquet from Robertson’s Flowers.
I love the vintage feel of Ruth’s engagement ring.
Ruth wore this pearl bracelet that was her mothers.
Favorite!
David and Ruth opted to do their formal portraits before the wedding, so we set up a first look on one of the beautiful staircases at The Hyatt.
Love this shot!
The Hyatt at The Bellevue has a gorgeous restaurant on the 19th floor, appropriately called XIX. They allowed us to use on of the balconies outside for portraits, which gave us a beautiful view of the city.
The second shot here is inside of the restaurant, such a beautiful doorway. Another favorite!
We did more portraits at The Academy of Music just down the street.
Doesn’t Ruth look stunning! Hair and makeup by Bella Angel. Love the detail on Ruth’s dress.
One last stop, the classic picture in front of City Hall
Before the wedding, we had a few minutes back in the bridal suite so we took some time for a few bridal portraits. As I mentioned earlier, I was a bit obsessed with Ruth’s bouquet…
The wedding was held upstairs in the Rose Garden Ballroom. Ruth and David are both teachers and incorporated this card catalog (for seating cards) and books into their decor.
Another favorite, Ruth entering escorted by her dad.
David and Ruth had a very unique and personal ceremony that was very touching. During some parts of the ceremony I could see Ruth beginning to get emotional, and David would squeeze her hand for support. I felt like I was watching a conversation between them without any works being spoken, something special was going on there!
Love these shots just after the left the ceremony and had a moment alone.
The reception decor was just stunning. A beautiful mix of flowers, books, candles, and mercury glass. Love the Mr. and Mrs. sign’s on Ruth and David’s chairs.
Reception music provided by Paris from EBE, they were phenomenal. The party was going before Ruth and David even walked in.
First dance.
Ruth’s dad made one of the best father of the bride toasts I’ve ever heard, funny and touching – the perfect combination.
Father and daughter dance.
Cake by Classic Cake.
I had heard about their plans to smash cake into each others faces… The perfect picture to end the post 🙂
David and Ruth, It was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day. I hope you are having an amazing time in St. Lucia! Enjoy!
STUNNING! You really captured the day. Thanks Ashley. Great job, as always.
Thank you, Ashley! These photos are just beautiful. David and I have been so excited to see them since the whole day was such a whirlwind for us, but you captured each little moment perfectly. Thank you, thank you! We couldn’t be happier!
The pictures are stunning. One of my favorites is the bride and groom on the staircase. Their eyes peeled on each other , and the ones on the outside balcony, made me feel warm and fuzzy. I wanted more pictures even though I was not there, just a friend of an attendee. KUDOS for a job well done!
I was there and it was heaven. You captured so very many precious moments. Beautiful photos!
Ashley these are gorgeous! Fabulous job!! Loved her dress – you captured their day perfectly.
