Today we got somewhere around 18 inches of snow. I had a lazy day being snowed in, but I headed outside a few times to walk my dog Jack and take some photos. Here are a few quick snapshots of my walk with Jack from my iPhone. Look the snow is taller than Jack!
I’ll share some more images from my good camera in a few days when I’m back in my office.

All this snow sure makes me miss being on vacation in the Caribbean!
The third stop on our trip was Antigua. This may have been my favorite island, but it so hard to pick. We had a great day taking Eli’s Eco Tour which was highly recommended in my research. Everyone was right! We had an awesome time exploring the islands of Antigua.
The first two hours were spent cruising around the islands exploring the shoreline. Our first stop was at Great Bird Island and hiked to the top for an amazing view (on the left the third image down, and in the middle the second image down). After this a catered lunch was served on board with someone of the best BBQ chicken I’ve ever had. Our next, and my favorite, stop was at Hell’s Gate. As I mentioned in my February 1st post we anchored offshore and swam over to the island where we were lead on hike through the island and over the archway. It was unlike anything I’ve ever done before and totally beautiful (images 5 and 6 in the middle column). The rest of the day was spent snorkeling and enjoying sites from the boat. I would highly recommend this tour if you’re ever in Antigua - the crew was great and you can’t beat the scenery.

I’ll be posting about the last two stops of our strip St Lucia and Barbados next week. Stay tuned as my month long blog marathon continues
The second stop of our cruise was Tortola, BVI. When I was researching what to do at each port I found that The Bath’s at Virgin Gorda were a “can’t miss” destination. I’m so glad I found out about this before we left because it really was an amazing site.
Virgin Gorda is about a 30 minute ferry ride from Tortola and once there you take an easy 15 minute hike to The Baths. From there you can take another tricky 15 minute hike through boulders to Devil’s Bay. I think it’s the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen and totally worth the effort. Here are a few of my images from day 2, all taken with my point-and-shoot camera.
Soooo… the vacation I just returned from was a Southern Caribbean cruise that stopped at 5 islands, and then we spent some time in San Juan afterward. I’m going to share some images from each port over the next few days. I brought one of my back up cameras with me, but mostly used a point-and-shoot so I wouldn’t have to worry about it leaving it on the beach, lugging it around, etc.
Our first stop was in St. Thomas and we decided to have a beach day at Magen’s Bay, which is supposed to be one of the most beautiful in the world. It was the perfect way to start our vacation with a nice relaxing rain. We had about 5 minutes of rain, but it blew over quickly and blue skies prevailed. Here are some of my favorite shots of me and Mark, and St. Thomas. Please note some of these are shot with a point-and-shoot and also a disposable underwater camera

I took almost 2000 images on my vacation! Most are just snap shots on my point-and-shoot camera, but I also brought my good camera to take some scenic shots to hang in my home. It’s going to take me a few days to sort through them all, but I wanted to share this shot.
On our second day of vacation we were in Antigua and took Eli’s Eco Tour (highly recommend, it was awesome!). My favorite spot was Hell’s Gate - a tiny little island. The water on the near side of the island is the Caribbean Sea and on the other side is the Atlantic Ocean, you can see the water meet in between the arch. Isn’t it gorgeous? We swam out to the island from our boat and the tour guide took us very carefully up, through a cave, then over the arch and back down. The rocks were super sharp and it was a little scary (I’m afraid of heights) but it was so fun! More images coming soon!

I’m back from a truly wonderful vacation. Although I’m a bit sad I had to leave paradise, I’m excited to be back and get back to work. Today marks day 1 of a month long marathon of blogging! I’m excited to share lots of different images and info with you all! I literally just walked in from the airport, so all that good stuff is going to have to wait until tomorrow.
For now, as a quick reminder, the deadline for my 3rd Annual Valentine’s Day Contest is just two weeks away! Don’t forget to enter!
And since a post is nothing without a picture, here is a quick snapshot from my iPhone from my last day of vacation. More images (from a real camera) to come!

After I get back on February 1st I’ll be starting my month long marathon of blogging, so check back for pictures from my trip, wedding posts, and other news. Bye!
