Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting my friend Amanda’s wedding. Amanda was one of my roommates in college (feels like a million years ago!) when we lived in Santa Barbara. It was such a joy to return to California (and sun! and warmth!) to be a part of Amanda and Derek’s wedding day.
I loved being greeted by this adorable sign and gorgeous view.
The beautiful gown, shoes, and flowers:
Did I mention this wedding had a huge DIY influence? Didn’t she do an amazing job with the flowers?!
The rings. Amanda’s ring was made with her husband’s fingerprint by Fabuluster.
Derek helping his best man get ready.
You just cannot beat this view! Coming from the Pennsylvania area (where let’s face it, you don’t get a lot of beach weddings 🙂 ), I absolutely loved shooting on this gorgeous beach.
Some quick bridal party portraits. Loved the color of the bridesmaid dresses!
Of course we had to take advantage of the beautiful setting for portraits.
I absolutely LOVED this wet sand that made for great reflections.
Though you can see we have a beautiful sunny day, it was ever so slightly chilly 🙂 Amanda had this cute sweater that worked perfectly with her flowers. I loved this spot… we just don’t have scenery like this in PA!
Loving this sign!
As I mentioned earlier, Amanda did tons of DIY details. Here are some of my favorites:
As if that wasn’t enough, Amanda and her made of honor MADE ALL OF THE CUPCAKES! Can you believe that? They were gorgeous AND delicious
I couldn’t get enough of this adorable flower girl (and some lovely California Sun!).
A few more portraits. I was really hoping for a gorgeous sunset over the ocean, but unfortunately it turned cloudy. So instead, we finished up with portraits on the property of the venue.
Thanks so much to Amanda and Derek for allowing me to be a part of your day! It was such an honor to capture your wedding.
