Hell’s Gate – Antigua

I took almost 2000 images on my vacation! Most are just snap shots on my point-and-shoot camera, but I also brought my good camera to take some scenic shots to hang in my home.  It’s going to take me a few days to sort through them all, but I wanted to share this shot.

On our second day of vacation we were in Antigua and took Eli’s Eco Tour (highly recommend, it was awesome!). My favorite spot was Hell’s Gate – a tiny little island. The water on the near side of the island is the Caribbean Sea and on the other side is the Atlantic Ocean, you can see the water meet in between the arch.  Isn’t it gorgeous?  We swam out to the island from our boat and the tour guide took us very carefully up, through a cave, then over the arch and back down.  The rocks were super sharp and it was a little scary (I’m afraid of heights) but it was so fun!  More images coming soon!

  • I’m just a tad bit jealous that you had a professional photographer with you throughout your vacation. 🙂 My vacation photos are pretty lame compared to yours. Wow, that’s a gorgeous photo!
