2009 Every Wedding Album

For the second year in a row I’ve created a sample album with a one page spread for every wedding I shot during the year. Here’s my 2009 album:

The Big Announcement: I’m relocating to the east coast!

After much thought I’ve decided to move back to the east coast where I grew up to Newtown, Pennsylvania - a Philadelphia suburb. I am very excited to be close to old friends and family. I will be officially moving out after my lease is up in the end of February, though will be traveling back and forth many times throughout the year.

What does this mean for you?
If you’ve already contracted me for a wedding in Las Vegas -
I’ll be making travel arrangements to be there the weekend of your wedding (at no additional cost to you of course). If you still need to shoot your engagement session I’ll do my best to work it into my schedule.

If you’re interested in booking me for a wedding in Las Vegas
-
Please contact me! I am absolutely still accepting weddings in the Las Vegas area.

If you’re interested in booking me for a wedding or portrait session in the Philadelphia area
-
This is great news! I will spend the majority of my time out here and welcome the opportunity to work with new clients for weddings, engagement sessions, and portraits. I will also be available for work in the New York, Wilmington, Baltimore, and Washington DC metropolitan areas.

As always, I welcome clients from outside of my immediate location and encourage you to inquire about your wedding in whatever location it may be. Travel fees may apply.

2008 Engagement Favorites: Top 30

One of my favorite things about my job is getting to know my clients before the wedding. For that reason (and a variety of others), I include free engagement sessions in my wedding packages. Since a lot of my clients come from out of town to get married in Las Vegas, I don’t *always* have the opportunity to do them… but I always try.

Generally I try to shoot in locations that are memorable for the couple, or just super fun. I look forward to shooting lots of fun new engagement sessions this year!

2008 Wedding Favorites: Top 60

2008 was a rough year for me personally, but I still shot 27 awesome weddings! I look forward to shoot many more this year :) I’m so excited for the new year… a lot of exciting things are happening, so stayed tuned for all the info I’ll be revealing soon!

So here they are, in order of occurrence, 60 of my favorite wedding images from 2008:

So sad.

My wonderful mother passed away at 10:30pm on Saturday January 3rd. I was at her side, and she went very peacefully. I know I’ll never be the same.

Former Newtown Florist

Donna A. Brady Bartoletti-Dasch of Langhorne died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown.

She was the beloved wife for six years of George R. Dasch.

Born in Harrison, N.Y., Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Frank Brady and Lora Pellegrino Brady.

Mrs. Dasch enjoyed owning and operating Clark’s Flower Shop in Newtown for many years before taking ill. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, which included her many pets and also enjoying all of nature’s beauties, especially flowers.

She will be sadly missed as a devoted and loving wife, mother, friend and floral designer whose talents were admired and desired by many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two loving and devoted children, Ryan A. Bartoletti of Holland, PA and Ashley L. Bartoletti of Las Vegas, NV.; and her cousin, Adrienne Wilson of Marietta, GA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 10 a.m. until her funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 Sycamore Ave., Newtown. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to Hope for the Animals, 1098 Washington Crossing Road, Upper Makefield, PA 18940.

The post I don’t want to write…

I am so very sad to be writing the post. Just 9 months ago in April my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer, and now she is clinging to her last moments of life as the cancer has ravaged her body and mind. I cannot express into words just how much my heart is broken. I am sitting at her side as I write this… she is peacefully asleep. The nurses today told me we could expect to have her for another 24 to 48 hours. This is by far the most difficult experience of my life.

To my wonderful clients: Thank you for your understanding during this very difficult time. I will likely not be answering emails or returning phone calls for the next couple of weeks.

Even though she is bald here after being treated with radiation, it is still one of my favorite pictures of her. I feel like you can see a glimpse of what beautiful person she is inside.
