101 things in 1001 days, version 2.0

Way back on January 21st, 2008 I posted my first list of 101 things to do in 1001 days.  I only completed about 40 of 101 items. I have to give myself a big fat F for that.  To be honest a lot of unexpected things happened during those 1001 days that distracted me from my goals.  In March of 2008 my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in her brain.  Since I was living in Las Vegas at the time and my family was back here in Pennsylvania, I spent a lot of that year flying back and forth until November, when I stayed here in PA with my mom until she lost her battle with cancer in January of 2009.  It was during this time that I decided I wanted to move back to my home state and in March of 2009 I packed up all my things and drove across country.  Many of the items on my list became unlikely to complete after the move, such as 26. Take a day trip to photograph death valley,  42. Visit Zion in the fall and take pictures, and 47. Hike Mt. Charleston during the springtime.

My distractions weren’t all bad.  Shortly after I moved back I met my now-husband Mark on June 16th 2009.   In that first year of our relationship every free moment was spent together and my list disappeared from my thoughts for the most part.     So, I’ve decided to try again.  I didn’t refer to my first list as I wrote version 2.0 but I did reread it after I completely the new list. There are a lot of similarities.  I am nothing if not consistent.  The list includes both personal and business things, some very big and some very small.  I’m hoping this time I can actually complete most, if not all, of the items listed.

Today, August 21st, 2012 is day one.  My end date is May 19, 2015.  Completed items will be marked in bold pink.  In progress items will be marked in bold gray. I will also be blogging about completed items along the way.
