Last week I did a session with Tucker in celebration of his 2nd birthday. Tucker was not my biggest fan
When I arrived I had cupcakes and balloons for the shoot, and first thing when tucker was holding the balloons one of them popped loudly and scared him… I think he was a bit afraid of me after that.
Nothing a cupcake can’t fix?

Sometimes it takes 2 cupcakes to heal a wound… lol

After a few minutes playing inside, we headed outside to play in the snow

Of course, we had to bring the cupcakes

After a few minutes we had our second mini-disaster. I had Tucker hold the balloons for some fun shots outside… unfortunately the weight on the balloons untied and tucker let go and off the balloons went.

Tucker was not happy about this. Sweet little Tucker followed them and pointed and hoped they’d come back. I felt so terrible!

Tucker was not thrilled

Sooo… we went back to play inside. Finally some smiles! Tucker gave an awesome performance on the piano.

Thanks Tucker and mom Jenn for allowing me into your home for a few hours. Hopefully next time it won’t traumatize Tucker quite so much
I’m so excited to announce the winners of my 3rd Annual Valentine’s Day Contest! First of all I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to share their love stories with me and enter the contest!
There were so many great stories it was hard to choose a winner… but without further ado I chose Danny & Kelly!
Sonething about their story touched me, here’s a small excerpt from what Kelly sent me:
Danny and I grew up in the same neighborhood a few blocks away (Southwest Philadelphia) but he is 5 years older than me. So in grade school and high school I had the biggest crush on him, but he only knew of me as ‘Jeff’s little sister’. Fast forward years later and we run into each other at the New Years Day parade. We started hanging out every weekend and on February 5, 2005 he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history
From that moment we have been inseparable, moving in together in October of that year. I call Danny my angel everyday. 8 months before we started dating, my brother Jeff passed away. It was without doubt the hardest time of my life as we were best friends and it was very sudden. Again just 2 weeks ago, I lost someone very close to me, my Stepmom Ruth. I don’t know how I would have gotten through all of this without Danny by my side.

Kelly - email me to set up your session!
I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Valentine’s Day full of love!
I just got home from celebrating Valentine’s Day with my wonderful boyfriend Mark (since he has to work tomorrow). We returned to the same place we had our first date at last year, The Mosquito Grill in Doylestown where I live. We also saw the movie Valentine’s Day which was super cute and fun for a V-Day Date.
Here’s a quick pic of us after our date tonight from my iMac camera

I intended to share a little bit more about us as a couple and some pictures but I’m going to save that until after Valentine’s Day.
Check back tomorrow for the Valentine’s Day Contest winners!!
As a reminder, tomorrow at midnight is the deadline for entries for my Third Annual Valentine’s Day Contest! The winners will be announced on Sunday right here on this blog. Thanks to everyone who already entered!
Email me your love story to enter!
Tomorrow I will be sharing my own personal love story with you
check back for that!
Here are my favorite shots from last years winners:

I shared some snapshots of my Jack playing in the snow the other day… so I thought I’d share a portrait of him today. Is it just me or is he the cutest thing ever?

The final stop on our cruise was Barbados. We opted to have a nice relaxing day at the beach and headed to The Boatyard thanks to the recommendation of my past client Jordan. We had the best day here!! As you can see the beach is absolutely gorgeous, and the sand was so amazingly soft. My favorite part was the rope swing… or maybe it was the Pina Coladas. Hard to say :) All of these pictures were taken with either my point-and-shoot or underwater camera.

Our fourth stop was in St. Lucia. After so many days in a row at the beach we decided to spend a day exploring this island away from the beach (in case you couldn’t tell Mark and I are very fair skinned, we burn easily!
). We took a tour of St. Lucia that made a variety of stops; the one we were most looking forward to was the Rum Distillery! After a tour of the facility we were able to sample as many of the rums as we wanted! I’m not much of a drinker so I only tasted a few, the coconut and chocolate were awesome!
